Heading 5

The entire coastline of Suriname, from Albina (in the east) to Nickerie (in the West) is paved road. The almost 127 km of road from Meerzorg (10 minutes from downtown Paramaribo) to the eastcoast (Albina) was upgraded between 2010 and 2016.
Roads have been paved or laid to grant access to internal regions where especially the wood industry and goldmining industry are located. Roads leading to the interior of Suriname or to the southern bordering country (Brasil) are still to be build.
